Have hair that is easily damaged and prone to breakage? Don't fret. These are steps that you can take to make your hair stronger and healthier.
Treating damaged hair means replacing the lost moisture, the missing oils that help your hair retain the moisture, and the protein that is lost from chemical treatments. A good hair treatment will include highly moisturised ingredients, small-molecule oils and protein.
For protein ingredients, the most common is egg, followed by yoghurt. For light weight oils, try olive or sweet almond oil as well as bananas or avocados.
For moisture-rich ingredients, try avocado, raw honey, or coconut milk.
1) If your hair is heavily damaged, you should cut off all the damaged portions. This will give you a better base for maintaining stronger hair in the future. Remember to trim your hair regularly as the ends of your hair are very vulnerable to damage, especially for those who love to keep long hair.
2) Use highly-moisturising shampoos.
3) It is also very important to use a hair conditioner. For those who keep long hair, using hair conditioner is a must. To restore manageability to your hair and make it healthy, smooth and soft again, try this home-made formula:
You will need a double boiler, a cup of rose water, 1 tablespoon of Jojoba oil, and 10 drops of Vitamin E oil. Gently warm the rose water at the top of the double boiler. Once the rose water is warm, add the Jojoba oil and Vitamin E oil. Apply to your hair. If your hair is extremely damaged and you want extra conditioning, leave this mixture on for several minutes before you rinse it away thoroughly wit warm water. You can then shampoo lightly and rinse again with cool water.
